Illucid is an independent Cape Town-based streetwear brand that aims to give the youth a platform to embrace their true creativity and self-expression by creating wearable art. Our desire is to form a connection between art, music, fashion and all forms of creativity.

 

There are amazing art pieces created every day which showcase the beauty of expression, but they can only be viewed in the serenity of studios and art galleries. Illucid was created so that everyone can showcase that form of expression wherever they might be.

 

The name Illucid derives from taking control over your dreams and accomplishing anything you set your mind to.

 

Founded at the end of 2019 by artist/designer Ghilian Chevelu, Illucid aims to break industry boundaries. As an artist, he is directly involved with every aspect of the brand, and each decision is meticulously thought out to ensure perfection in every garment.

 

Illucid focuses on unique, high-quality gender-neutral garments, with illustration being the forefront of the design. All our products are locally produced in limited quantities, while keeping sustainability in mind.
